When you pay online using your debit card, you are always insured against card abuse. You can always reject the payment when you receive your payment notification. There is no card excess in the event that your card is misused at a web shop using the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) payment system. This system provides better cover than in the real world, where you have an excess of DKK 1,200 if your Dankort debit card pin code is abused.
The data you provide in connection with online purchases made with debit cards are encrypted (SSL). In other words, only PBS can read them. Neither the web shop nor any third party is thus able to read the data.
The amount is first deducted from your account when the goods are sent from damask.dk. It is not possible to deduct a larger amount than the purchase amount.

When you shop at damask.dk you naturally have a 24-month right to invoke lack of conformity. This is contingent on the complaint being legitimate and the defect not being attributable to incorrect use of the product or similar negligent behaviour.
The complaint must be filed within a reasonable period following discovery of the defective item(s). Complaints are always deemed timely when they are filed within two months of discovering the defect.
We refund reasonable freight charges incurred in connection with returned goods when there is a legitimate complaint.

Cookies
A cookie is a term used to describe a small data file that registers a user’s behaviour on a network (the user’s hard drive). This enables a website, for example, to recognise the user the next time he/she visits the website.
A cookie does not store personal information, but rather information about the user’s behaviour on a website, e.g. a user ID for a website login. A cookie is stored on the user’s hard drive together with cached files. A cookie is thus a text file that is sent to your browser from a web server and stored on your computer’s hard drive. You can set your browser to inform you when you receive a cookie or you can completely disable cookies. The sole function of these cookies is to recognise your computer.
From a technical standpoint, cookies can be divided into two types. The first type is known as ‘session cookies’ – they keep track of what you have placed in your shopping basket while you navigate your way round the web shop. ‘Session cookies’ are not stored on your computer, but disappear when you close your browser.
The second type of cookie is called a ‘permanent cookie’ and is stored as a text file on your computer for approx. one month. A ‘permanent cookie’ helps our server to recognise your computer the next time you log onto our website.
At damask.dk, we use cookies to optimise the website and its functionality, thus making the user experience as simple as possible.
You can delete cookies from your computer at any time: In Internet Explorer, you delete cookies under the menu ‘Tools’ -> ‘Internet settings’ -> ‘General’ -> ‘Browser data/Delete cookies’.

At damask.dk we use log statistics, i.e. a statistical system which gathers information that can provide a statistical picture of the number of website visitors, where they come from and where they leave the site etc.
At damask.dk log statistics are used to optimise the website and its functionality.
