With his thorough understanding of damask weaving, Bent Georg Jensen was the driving force behind the weaving company’s design development for several decades. He created numerous modern and classic designs and his ABILD tea towel has become a design icon in the GEORG JENSEN DAMASK kitchen collection. The launch and re-launch of the historical QUEEN MARGRETE I TABLECLOTH and HANS CHRISTIAN ANDERSEN TABLECLOTH were other results of his in-depth engagement with the design process. Bent Georg Jensen trained as a textile engineer and for more than fifty years headed GEORG JENSEN DAMASK, until he sold the family company.
